A 30-Acre Shopping Center In Lansing May Get New Life Soon

Isn’t it great when new businesses and buildings get built and remodeled in Mid-Michigan?  I have written about many old buildings here in the area that are being built and refurbished, and some turning into new apartments. For Instance Lansing’s West Junior High.

I live in Downtown Lansing and looking at old pictures and talking to folks who have lived here, it is amazing the way they have and are building it all up. I am in a new building and it’s beautiful. I love it.

31 of the best places for vintage and thrift shopping in Pittsburgh

The heyday of thrifting — and scoring great clothes for super-low prices at vintage shops — was supposed to be over, due to the rise of internet shopping sites like Etsy and eBay.

But nobody told Pittsburgh. There are more vintage shops now in Pittsburgh than ever before. (The prices, well … they’re not as cheap as the old days).

Of course, checking out the vintage/used clothing shops for the first time in a while was a bit of a shock — I’m still not over the fact that the ’80s, ’90s even the 2000s have become “vintage.”

Online shopping has been a part of most of our lives for years at this point, but even for those who prefer to do things the old-fashioned way and browse products in person, the COVID-19 pandemic made online shopping essential to get everything from groceries to exercise equipment. Not all online marketplaces are created equal, however—at least that’s what a recent Axios Harris poll suggests. And that’s where we turned to find out the least trusted online shopping site.

The Axios Harris Poll 100, based on an annual survey of 42,935 Americans, ranks the biggest brands in the U.S. using

A new two-story, 14,000-square-foot day care center, an adjacent playground and facade updates are all in the plans for the shopping center redevelopment, which sits on the extreme southwest corner of Prairie Village’s city limits, adjacent to Overland Park.

Eric Gonsher, a representative for Kansas City-based developer R.H. Johnson Company, said the project is important,

The Best Online Grocery Stores for All Your Specialty Shopping Needs

We shop differently in 2021. The best online grocery stores are taking the place of the weekly pilgrimage to the farmers market, the after-work dash to the butcher, the biweekly trips to the local supermarket and the Asian market that stocks the good brand of sesame oil. The pandemic upended our shopping habits, and while we’re happy to be back chatting with our cheesemonger, online grocery shopping is still undeniably…convenient.

It’s especially convenient if your needs aren’t always served by the local Safeway, where you might come across 19 different breakfast cereals—and none of them cater to your gluten intolerance.
