All Your COVID-19 Wedding Questions Answered by an Expert

  • Couples and guests have a lot of questions about hosting/attending weddings during the pandemic.
  • It’s not rude to RSVP “no” to a wedding because you’re worried about your safety amid the pandemic.
  • Couples should consider making a COVID-19 safety plan so guests and vendors know what to expect.

Planning a wedding has never been easy — and that was before a global pandemic made it even harder.

Below are my answers to the questions about planning and attending weddings during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that you may have (understandably) been too afraid to ask.

Camilla Thurlow praised for wedding dress breastfeeding pictures

Golden Love Island couple Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt thrilled fans when they announced they’d tied the knot in front of friends and family in a beautiful ceremony earlier this month.

The special day came after they announced their engagement in February this year, with Jamie popping the question with a little help from their baby daughter Nell, who wore a baby grow saying, “Mummy will you marry my daddy?”

Nell was born in October 2020, and – of course – was a huge part of Camilla and Jamie’s big day, featuring in serene snaps posted on social media looking

‘Beer boy’ wedding stunt dubbed ‘iconic’ on TikTok

Hop-pily ever after.

A newlywed couple is garnering praise online after swapping out the traditional flower girl for a “beer boy” that handed out cold ones during their wedding last month in New Hampshire. A clip of the brew-tiful occasion currently boasts 5.8 million views on TikTok.

Asking wedding guests to leave their children at home used to be among the thornier requests a couple could make.

Now, COVID-19 precautions are adding more sensitive appeals to wedding invitations.

Tucked inside embossed envelopes that include dinner choices and directions to the reception are also politely worded notes telling guests they must be vaccinated, get a COVID-19 test or do both, according to wedding planners.

Jasmine Tookes and Juan David Borrero met through their jobs in 2016. Juan works at Snapchat as a director of international markets, and the social media app was getting ready to launch a new feature called Group Stories. The company wanted to hire Jasmine and her friends to promote it. “We all happened to be in L.A. for a fashion show, so I went to lunch with Juan and a couple other Snapchat employees,” Jasmine remembers. “Following that lunch, Juan invited me to a birthday party that same night. There was a natural attraction to each other.
